Resurgam.
I shall rise again. A dispatch from Phydra.

壱 · 01 · The Article

A bunch of you have asked the same question: ”Is there a Resurgam podcast?”

There is. We are launching it now.

If you would rather listen than read, this is for you. Each episode will take one of the stories further: what happened, what it cost, and what I left out of the article because some things need a voice instead of a paragraph.

We will also talk about the Five Controllables: how you begin the day, how you end it, how you fuel your body, how you train it, and how you handle conflict when life gets hot.

When Does Attention Become Micromanagement?

Bill Collier in Las Vegas sent me a note asking what I think about micromanagement. I sat with it for a while because the usual answer is too easy.

Yes, control can make people smaller. So can a leader who looks away from details that matter. A missed detail can cost a customer, a company, a job, or the trust of the people who depend on you.

I recorded a short video about where that line sits. It is unlisted for now. You are getting the first look. After we figure out the podcast, we’ll dig in on more videos.

SHORT THOUGHTS. BIG IMPACT.
We do not receive wisdom, we must discover it for ourselves, after a journey through the wilderness which no one else can make for us, which no one can spare us.
— Marcel Proust

Sometimes fear does not subside and one must choose to do it afraid.
— Elisabeth Elliot

I am writing a longer piece about the 3rd Controllable “fuel” — how to feed your body and your mind so you can get more out of yourself when your stress gets high and you feel stressed to the breaking point.

No magic fairy dust. No crash diets. Just an honest look at the choices that give you more capacity, or quietly slow you down.

Love you all. 🖤

Sit in the fire. Laugh at the flames.
